How To Monetize Your Artisanal Creation

Making something as a hobby, whether it’s birdhouses, or homemade cookies, or cat jewelry, can be very rewarding. What’s even more rewarding is making something and selling it for money. If you enjoy making something artisanal then there is a good chance that other people might be interested in your creation as well. Here are a few helpful steps to get you started on the road to making your crafty hobby a source of steady income.

Find Quality Suppliers

The first thing you’ll want to do is to try and get a better price for your supplies. This means buying in bulk so that the price for a single piece of hardware or material is cheaper than if you were to buy just a few pieces at a time. Finding wholesale suppliers is relatively easy, all you need to do a web search for something like, “reliable industrial fastener suppliers” or something similar, and you’ll be presented with several options. The more you save on your materials, the more you’ll make in profit.

Build a Solid Website

Something every business needs is a good informative website. Here people can see your product, learn about it, and either buy it directly or see where to buy it. A website is easy to set up and there are companies out there that will help you design a functioning website step by step.

Advertise on Social Media

A great way to let people know about your product for sale is to put up ads on social media sites. Start an account for your business on each of the major platforms and put up photos and information about your craft and how it is made. You can direct traffic to your website and let people know where they can find your product.

Following each of these steps will not only help you make your artisanal craft more available to your customers but will make your product more lucrative for you.

Everything You Need to Know About Greta Thunberg

Well over a year ago, no one knew the name, Greta Thunberg. She staged an independent school strike in August 2018 at just 15 years old to protest and push for more action on Climate Change. She protested independently outside the Swedish Parliament whilst holding a sign that read ‘Skolstrejk för klimatet’ (School Strike for Climate); soon after, many other young people began to get involved with the school climate strike, and since then there have been many protests from millions of youth all over the world.

Greta was born on the 3rd of January 2003, and she was born in Sweden. Greta openly admits that she has struggled with her Mental Health for most of her life, and she has also suffered from an eating disorder. Greta even has a condition called Asbergers Syndrome, but nonetheless, these problems have not stopped her from speaking out about climate change.

Greta started to become concerned about the welfare of the planet and issues surrounding it such as climate change and plastic pollution whilst learning about them at school. She began to educate her parents on these factors and urged to them reduce their plastic and to reduce their carbon footprint. Something that inspired Greta to strike was a member of an environmental group she was apart of; when voicing her concerns to one of the group members, they said she should hold a school strike. She sought other classmates to join her movement, but at the time they appeared uninterested, so instead, she went by herself to strike.

She used Social Media to get her messages across to the world and posted pictures of her striking; this reached the attention of many fellow climate activists who then went on to support her page and follow her lead in striking for climate change. If you are interested in climate strikes and activism, then you will also want to take a look at Extinction Rebellion.

She began a movement called ‘Friday’s for Future’, which inspired an international school strike with many young students; this massively caught the attention of world leaders and global companies who have invited her to do speeches and talks at world conferences and climate change conferences. Greta has now vowed that she will never travel by flight again, and instead uses bikes, trains or boats to travel around; she even sailed to New York from Portsmouth by a carbon-neutral yacht that had solar panels and underwater turbines to power it. Greta has become one of the most famous activist speakers in the world. Top 5 Unusual Hen Do Ideas

Your Hen do is one of the most important moments in your life; it means that last day of freedom, and more importantly it allows you to have a bit of fun with your girlfriends. We all dream of what our Hen Do and Wedding Day is going to be like, but when it actually comes to the planning, brides to be are usually left feeling a bit lost. Here’s a list of top 5 unusual hen do ideas if you are keen to do something a bit different.

Craft Classes

Some places offer a variety of crafting classes; this could be pottery making, make your own flower crowns, or you and your hens could even take part in a group painting class – this of course would be for the more arty group of friends. If partying is not your scene, then a craft class would make for a fun hen do activity.

Active Activities

If you are a more active person who likes to be constantly on the go, you may want to opt for more adventure style activities; these could be as calm or as daring as you want them to be – just make sure that all of your fellow hen’s are comfortable with taking part. Activities could include Horse Trekking, Group Yoga, Hiking, or even Paintballing etc.

Food and Drink Activities

If you and your friends are proper ‘foodies’, these types of hen do’s could be for you; there are many companies that offer cooking classes like making your own chocolate, or pizza making classes etc. You could go to a vineyard that offers wine tasting, or some places even host gin tasting experiences for you and your friends. Groupon has many different food related activity offers, why not check it out here.

Party Activities

If you and your friends are well known ‘party animals’, a party weekend could be for you, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to stay at your local nightclub; as it’s your hen do, you will want to make it that bit more special. Certain places offer private party venues so you and your hens can party the night away, or you could even go to a karaoke venue to have a sing along with your friends. To make your night extra special, you could hire a limousine to take you from your house to the venue.

Girls Weekend Away

If you want to get away from your hometown for a bit, why not book a mini break? This can be as expensive, or as cheap as you want it to be. You may want to go abroad to somewhere tropical, or you may want to visit another part of the country; after all, it’s not the destination that makes it special, it’s the people you spend it with. You could go to a beach resort in Mallorca, or go for a city break in Amsterdam, it ultimately depends on what sort of hen do you want it to be. If you are in need of transport to the airport, you could always get in touch with a Gloucester Minibus Hire company, or one more local to you to make sure that you and your friends get to the airport safely and on time – this saves you stress of trying to locate airport parking.

What Makes an Engaging Office Space?

Workspace Design’s Importance Goes Beyond Décor

We spend the most amount of time in our offices, so it is no surprise to discover that the space in which we work affects us mentally. Nobody is suggesting that company owners and bosses should get the interior designers in before they start to hire staff, but certain aspects of décor and decoration could be considered. For instance, painting walls a soulless white or – the worst colour known to man – magnolia doesn’t offer much in the way of inspiration. In the same way, vibrant, lime-green walls are likely to be distracting.

In a piece written for Men’s Health, this exact topic was discussed. Their researchers found that the area in which you work can have a direct link to your overall mental well-being.

This article explores how certain factors relating to the décor of your office can negatively affect your mental health. For example, if your office space is too dark, their studies found that the workers’ sleep patterns were negatively affected. They found that office staff had a reduced quality of sleep if their office was without natural light. This aspect can lead to depression.

Creating a Productive Environment

Having adequate light, where possible, is an important factor, but so is the temperature of the office. Having the air-con set to Siberian in the middle of the winter is not appropriate. If the staff are too hot or too cold, this can have a drastic effect on productivity as it is incredibly distracting.

Even something as seemingly unimportant as your desk can have a huge effect. If you have a cluttered work-space, studies have shown that your productivity levels will fall well below what you expect. The age-old adage of ‘tidy house, tidy mind’ demonstrates this point exactly.

Having a beautiful engaging area to work in means nothing if you don’t have the right tools for the job. PDF to Excel software makes importing your files a doddle. Companies such as https://pdftables.com/ make converting PDF to Excel documents hassle-free.

Copying or transcribing databases individually by hand is incredibly time-consuming. Using software such as this can free up hundreds of hours, leaving you with more time to work on other, much less tedious aspects of your job.

Understanding simple drilling methods

Precisely when men discovered how to drill holes will forever be a mystery. Even Neanderthals sewed clothing and drilled beads, and they were around in 800,000BC. According to Wikipedia – so it must be true! – homo sapiens invented rotary tools a modest 35,000BC.

Six interesting facts about St Patrick’s Day

Who was St Patrick?

St Patrick was born in Britain at the beginning of the 4th century. He was kidnapped by Irish raiders at the age of 16 and imprisoned in Ireland until the age of 22. He returned to England after escaping and undertook religious training, which he took to Ireland in 432AD. He used the shamrock as a symbol of Christian teachings.

Fact vs Fiction and energy saving

Tricks to save money on energy usage range from painting radiators black to putting clingfilm on windows. Do these methods work in practice, or are they just hot air?
